QUESTA is the musical project of New York born singer-songwriter, actor, and filmmaker Emilio Cuesta. His songs are a mix between psychedelic and indie folk rock, and also infused with elements of musical theater. As QUESTA, he has performed at venues including City Winery, The Stephen Talk House, and The Paramount (Huntington). His song “Feedin’” was recently featured on M. Night Shyamalan’s SERVANT (AppleTV+). 

As an actor, Emilio has been featured in supporting roles on primetime series including HOMELAND (Showtime), DOPESICK (Hulu), and CITY ON A HILL (Showtime). He had a supporting role in the award-winning independent feature FROM NOWHERE (SXSW Narrative Spotlight) and recently played the leading role of “Nathaniel” in Tony-Award winning playwright Greg Kotis’s (URINETOWN) I AM NOBODY world premiere. 

In addition to his work as a performer, Emilio was 2nd Unit Director on the pilot of ACCUSED (FOX). He is also co-producing the feature documentary KINGS + THINGS which highlights the underrepresented world of drag kings, things, and non-binary burlesque and recently received the 2023 DGNL Gives Back Pride production grant.
